Job Summary
Transportation Planner responsible for planning and optimizing daily local and regional transportation routes and schedules across company-owned assets and third-party providers. Coordinate fleet resources, monitor operations with GPS/TMS, ensure Hours of Service compliance, respond to customer/service requests, and drive continuous improvement in routing efficiency and service levels. Requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience with TMS/GPS/fleet software, and proficiency in Excel.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, planning, dispatch, or production scheduling environments.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking platforms, or fleet management software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment.
