Job Summary
Coordinate transportation planning activities across the supply chain, supporting customer and stock transfer orders for finished goods and raw materials. Execute daily planning for shipments between facilities and customers while maintaining pool schedules, IDOCs, and SAP transit times. Lead cross-functional projects to test system enhancements, consolidate shipments for load utilization, and drive route guide compliance. Monitor transportation reports to take action on overdue loads, analyze data to identify root causes of service issues, and recommend corrective actions. Partner with facilities, customer service, and inventory deployment teams to resolve shipment coverage, pickup, and carrier performance issues. Troubleshoot transportation system transactions and train team members on reporting tools and established processes. Escalate network trends to leadership and provide operational coverage during manager absences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Analytics, or a related field
- 3+ years of transportation, analytics, logistics, or supply chain experience
- Working knowledge of transportation management systems and report development
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Oracle, and SAP
- Experience with data extraction, manipulation, visualization, and presentation
- Understanding of transportation management concepts, processes, and industry terminology
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience identifying trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvement
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience influencing and collaborating across teams
- Strong communication skills and experience working with multiple functional groups
- Self-driven approach to identifying opportunities and resolving issues
- Experience supporting organizational and process change initiatives
