Transportation Planner (AICP, PE & PTOE helpful)

Job Summary
Transportation Planner overseeing planning studies and multimodal analyses. Develop planning studies, corridor plans, and multimodal plans; analyze traffic data (counts, volumes, crash data, socioeconomic and land-use data, growth projections); utilize ArcGIS / ArcGIS Pro; produce technical writing; support public engagement meetings; contribute to project management (scope, schedule, budget); participate in proposals and RFP responses with defined scope and technical approaches; requires a 4-year degree and 3+ years of transportation planning experience; PE and PTOE in GA; AICP preferred; proficient with traffic software and GDOT/HWY guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or other closely related fields
- 3+ years transportation planning experience
- PE and PTOE in Georgia
- AICP preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Windows suite, ArcGIS, RITIS, Syncro, VISSIM, and other traffic software packages
- Experienced in writing reports
- Knowledge of MUTCD, AASHTO Guidelines, Highway Safety Manual, FHWA Regulations & Guidance, ADA Standards (PROWAG & ADAAG), GDOT Complete Streets & Policies Guidance, GDOT Traffic Analysis and Design Manuals, GDOT Environmental Procedures Manual, GDOT Driveway manual, GDOT Design Policy Manual, GDOT Project Development Process, and GDOT Plans Preparation Manual
