Job Summary
Transportation - PACE Driver provides direct transportation for PACE participants to and from the center, appointments, and related activities. Requires interaction with participants, families, and community agencies; requires high school diploma or GED, 1+ year experience with mobility needs and elderly population, first aid and CPR certification, a valid driver's license with insurance, knowledge of healthcare safety and equipment, and clear communication. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm; in-person transportation role within a healthcare PACE program.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 year experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population or training upon hire
- Must have first aid training or willing to obtain
- CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license with proof of automobile insurance
- Knowledge of safety and infection control requirements for a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of automobile and medical equipment use and maintenance
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
