Transportation- PACE Driver

Job Summary
Transport PACE participants to and from the center/day clinic and appointments for approved PACE services; interact with participants, caregivers/families, and community agencies; communicate changes to the PACE Transportation Coordinator for input to the Interdisciplinary Team; perform duties in a healthcare setting with emphasis on safety, infection control, and proper use of medical equipment; schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm; in-person transportation in Elizabethtown, KY; requires CPR/First Aid readiness and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 year experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population or must receive appropriate training upon hire
- Must have, or willing to obtain, first aid training
- Must maintain CPR certification
- Must have a valid driver’s license in accordance with policy with proof of automobile insurance required
- Knowledge of safety and infection control requirements for a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of automobile and medical equipment use and maintenance
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs
