Job Summary
Transportation Operations Manager responsible for directing daily operations of freight terminals, transit garages, fleet hubs, or logistics facilities; ensure service commitments, safety standards, and regulatory compliance; develop and maintain a high-performing team culture; monitor and improve service levels (on-time delivery, load factor, equipment utilization, customer satisfaction); own location P&L and budgets; manage labor and variable costs; address operational disruptions and identify process improvements; enforce DOT/FMCSA regulations and lead safety initiatives; requires leadership, scheduling/dispatching skills, familiarity with transportation regulations, and ability to pass background checks and drug testing.
Required Qualifications
- Must have 3-5 years of Management Experience in Transportation of 50 or more employees.
- Proficient in scheduling.
- Proficient in dispatching.
- Trapeze, Ecolane, Routing box experience a plus.
- Great leadership skills and customer service skills
- Some knowledge of DOT regulations.
- The ability to successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and physical.
