Job Summary
Senior Transportation Officer responsible for the safe and secure transportation of inmate, detainee, and/or resident populations and trip movement, following correctional transportation practices. May be assigned as Assistant Officer in Charge (AOIC) on trip activity. Duties include supervising inmate/detainee/resident activity per policy, resolving disputes, documenting per policy, reporting injuries, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining effective communication with Trip Management, ensuring compliance with route plans, maintenance of equipment and restraints, managing medications and property, and applying restraints and Use of Force per policy. Requires achieving and maintaining Officer in Charge (OIC) certification for AOIC eligibility. Training includes a 3-week paid program in Nashville, TN. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be 21+, possess a valid driver’s license; travel required. Benefits include medical, PTO, 401K match, sign-on bonus, and more.
