Job Summary
Responsible for conducting pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance with laws and policies while transferring offenders. This role includes maintaining vehicle sanitation, reporting safety defects, and managing paperwork for inmate transfers. Candidates must possess Georgia POST certification, a valid CDL, and have excellent communication and organizational skills. The position involves physical demands, including operating vehicles for extended periods and ensuring the safety of offenders during transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Georgia POST certification as a Jail Officer or Law Enforcement Officer
- Valid driver’s license with a clear MVR for three (3) years
- Valid CDL (required) with the Passenger (P) endorsement (preferred)
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
- Hold or be able to be weapons certified
- Clean MVR with a Class B CDL
