Job Summary
Answer the telephone, process paperwork, and prepare mail while managing office supplies and general clerical tasks. Cross-train in all aspects of clerical duties and learn to operate the truck scale to weigh inbound and outbound vehicles. Enter records for purchased scrap metal, calculate daily transactions, balance the cash drawer, and generate invoices with verified weights and prices. Greet visitors, ensure PPE compliance for facility tours, assist customers with pricing and account questions, and process outbound Bills of Lading. Support monthly closing reporting and inventory reconciliation. Work Monday through Friday with half-day Saturday hours in a fast-paced, non-stop environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Attendance is a must
- 2+ years' experience office assistant experience in a construction or industrial production yard or similar industry
- Must be able to pass credit check and Background
- Must be able to pass Physical/Drug screen
- All US applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have Computer skills

- Strictly adhere to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards

Desired Qualifications
- Previous scrap metal experience preferred
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus
