Job Summary
Transportation Manager is responsible for day-to-day transportation operations including driver management, load planning, and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include building and maintaining driver relationships, assigning drivers to loads, coordinating with AS400 and Qualcomm systems, understanding customer dynamics and service goals, and interfacing with billing, safety, payroll, maintenance, and other departments. Requires collaboration with the Dedicated Manager and Operations Manager to maintain a full driver board. Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor’s degree (Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics) and/or fleet management/supervisory experience. Benefits and broad company context are noted. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics) and/or two to three years of fleet management or transportation experience in the truckload industry preferred
- Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills, proven management ability, and skill in operating a computer terminal and satellite communications system required
