Transportation Manager

Manage the transportation department across assigned locations by leading staff, selecting and training a diverse workforce, and establishing performance standards. Act as the liaison between customers, operations, and support teams while analyzing profit and loss reports to reduce expenses and improve productivity. Oversee driver debriefs, DOT log files, and vehicle condition reports to ensure safety compliance, and lead accident investigations to prevent future incidents. Conduct periodic customer site visits to maintain satisfaction and facilitate offsite conversions. Maintain positive vendor relationships and participate in the Safety Improvement Committee. Review payroll hours to optimize efficiency and implement changes for optimum resource utilization.
