Job Summary
Transportation Manager responsible for overseeing end-to-end transportation operations at the DFW station, leading carrier performance, dispatch planning, and transportation compliance while driving improvements in service reliability and cost control. Key duties include managing daily transportation operations (linehaul, last-mile, inbound/outbound), ensuring on-time performance across routes and hubs, optimizing transportation cost per shipment, managing relationships with carriers and 3PLs, monitoring truck utilization and route efficiency, coordinating with warehouse teams for seamless handovers, handling delays and capacity issues, implementing transportation SOPs and safety standards, and driving data-informed decisions via KPI tracking (cost, OTP, utilization). Core competencies include leadership, analytical thinking, clear communication, adaptability, and a customer-focused mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 3–8 years of experience in transportation or logistics operations
- Strong understanding of last-mile delivery or hub-and-spoke network models
- Proven experience managing carriers or fleet operations
- Proficiency with TMS, WMS, and YMS platforms
- Fluent English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with change management and cross-functional leadership
- Strong analytical skills with an operational, problem-solving mindset
- Proven track record of cost reduction and operational improvement
