Job Summary
Manage a fleet of professional drivers by establishing expectations, coaching, and monitoring performance metrics for safety, on-time service, and truck utilization. Enact efficient plans to ensure safe and on-time service while making cost-effective decisions and troubleshooting daily challenges for customers and drivers. Ensure regular training expectations are met and facilitate interdepartmental collaboration on company goals. Make payroll additions for drivers experiencing unexpected delays due to mechanical failures or customer challenges. Maintain confidentiality regarding medical and payroll information. This role supports Werner Enterprises' dedicated and one-way truckload services, leveraging industry knowledge and North American geography expertise to promote driver career growth and longevity.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of transportation industry and terminology
- Conflict management
- Personnel management
- Knowledge of North American geography
- Proficient in Windows operating systems
- Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Previous transportation or management experience
Desired Qualifications
- Education within Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Prefer a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably within Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
