Job Summary
Manage and provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the Lipari Foods private fleet, overseeing newly hired driver training for routes and night shuttles while coordinating ongoing skills and safety training. Ensure full fleet compliance with Department of Transportation, Federal, State, and Local Regulations by investigating accidents and injuries, directing staff hiring and termination, and conducting depot and lead driver evaluations at satellite locations. Prioritize daily tasks to reduce costs and improve service through equipment and maintenance solutions, utilizing strong organizational skills and MS Office experience to support company growth. Requires a CDL Class A license, minimum 2 years transportation management experience, and ability to travel regionally.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a combination of training and/or experience totaling at least 1 year
- Must have CDL Class A Driver's License
- Minimum of 2 years of transportation management experience
- A valid CDL Class A License
- Minimum of 1 year and 50,000 miles driving experience
- Strong knowledge of DOT, state, and local compliance guidelines
- Excellent knowledge of safety best practices in relation to a large, multi-state transportation network
- Strong leadership competencies
- Above average verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills and ability to manage details
- MS Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
- Ability to travel regionally as needed
