Job Summary
Coordinate services between the kitchen and drivers while controlling activities on the receiving dock, creating assignments for team drivers and flights. Check the dock area for required equipment to ensure trucks leave on schedule, maintain radio contact with the superintendent and meal planner, and manage labor forecasts. Ensure all teams cater correct aircraft and flights, verify safety procedure compliance, and assist with late flights or equipment changes. Get information from other airlines for service and control productivity, labor controls, and efficiency standards to maintain quality and customer service. Work full-time in an on-site Newark location with up to 10% travel, supporting a team of up to 150+ in airline catering operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree or GED
- 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Bi-lingual
- Ability to lift, push, pull or maneuver 50-75 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors 75-80% of the time
- Ability to work at heights at or above 50 feet
- Regularly stands, walks, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 10+ hour
- Must have strong and effective leadership skills
- Must have successfully managed a staff of 20-30
- Must be innovative in making changes to the operation as needed to further improve the work environment and unit performance
- Must be comfortable with all levels of employees
- Must have the ability to drive positive program change

Desired Qualifications
- Some college
- Experience with scheduling and forecasting labor
- In-flight catering experience
- Experience in a high-volume food service industry
- Current or previous labor relations experience
