Transportation Group Director

Direct and supervise the development of operating budgets for department activities while overseeing multiple groups and assigning staff to projects. Drive the implementation of the firm's strategic sales and planning approaches, including the Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA) and contracting (SCA) processes, to ensure scope, work plans, and fee reviews align with group goals. Manage assigned project management activities for scope, schedule, budget, and quality, leading a team of 25 to 40 employees across technical disciplines. Collaborate with leadership on work-sharing needs, assist in marketing efforts such as client discovery and proposal generation, and maintain client contacts to ensure satisfaction. Recruit, hire, and develop department staff, supporting performance reviews and succession planning within the group.
