Job Summary
Lead, coach, and develop a team of diesel technicians while overseeing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair operations to maximize fleet uptime. Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards, and manage shop budgets, labor productivity, inventory, and operating costs. Recruit, train, mentor, and retain top-performing technicians while building lasting customer relationships through exceptional service and concern resolution. Drive continuous improvement via safety meetings, performance coaching, and operational best practices across multiple shop locations.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of diesel technician experience
- 5+ years of shop management or maintenance leadership experience
- Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and drive operational performance
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
- Solid computer proficiency and experience with maintenance systems
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus
