Job Summary

Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings, technical reports, and engineering memos for highway and utility coordination projects. Support the design of highways, roadways, utility relocations, grading, and drainage systems in accordance with MTO, TAC, and municipal standards. Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors to drive project delivery, while participating in field investigations, data collection, and analysis. Develop design drawings and models using OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or MicroStation to support project objectives. This entry-level role offers mentorship from senior engineers to develop technical skills on diverse infrastructure assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience

Desired Qualifications

  • transportation or utility project experience
  • new graduates with relevant internship or co-op experience
  • Proficiency in CAD tools, preferably MicroStation, OpenRoads/InRoads, or AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Understanding of highway, road, and/or utility design principles
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with municipal and/or provincial standards, including MTO
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn, grow professionally, and contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects
