Transportation Engineer (Traffic/Technology)

Job Summary
Lead and manage innovative traffic engineering and ITS projects from start to finish, developing and implementing traffic solutions while analyzing data to boost safety and efficiency. Supervise junior staff and prepare project proposals, budgets, and timelines, ensuring all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain the highest standards of excellence and stay abreast of industry standards and technological advancements. This senior role requires a PE license, 8+ years of experience, and proficiency with CAD and simulation software. Based in Phoenix, salary is commensurate with experience, and no sponsorship is available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- 8+ years of experience in traffic engineering, traffic operations, or ITS projects
- PE License
- Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
- Working knowledge of software including Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, VISSIM or other similar software
- Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with design projects and traffic studies preferred
- Local industry knowledge and experience preferred
