Job Summary
Conduct roadway design and 3D modeling while preparing detailed maintenance of traffic plans and design computations. Utilize computer-assisted engineering software to generate engineering documents and coordinate project designs with a team of engineers and designers. Manage schedules and budgets, attend onsite and offsite client meetings, and collaborate with regulatory agencies and utility companies to obtain guidance. Adhere to company quality assurance and quality control standards defined in the quality manual. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, 3 to 5 years of transportation engineering experience, and a Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license. Proficiency in Microstation Open Roads Designer is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of relevant transportation engineering work experience designing roadway projects, ideally for the Florida Department of Transportation
- Proficient with Microstation Open Roads Designer
- Strong oral communication and technical writing skills
Desired Qualifications
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
- Senior level EI's ( ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Project management experience and skills, including management of schedules and budgets, are a plus
