Job Summary
The Transportation Engineer will perform roadway and traffic design, providing solutions for transportation problems. Responsibilities include coordinating with project staff and sub-consultants to ensure quality work and managing project documentation. A minimum B.S. in Civil Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer is required, along with over 10 years of experience in roadway design. Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong communication skills are essential for preparing reports and interacting with clients and agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer required
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience in roadway design and plan preparation on transportation projects
- Experienced in using AutoCAD (and/or Microstation)
- Excellent writing and speaking skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in design in accordance with state transportation agencies’ guidelines
- Familiarity with the Green Book and other key transportation-related guides and standards
