Job Summary
Design complex transportation infrastructure projects, focusing on roadway and highway elements, while preparing and reviewing project reports. Plan transportation project specifications and conduct periodic on-site construction observations. Coordinate schedules with the Survey Department and complete work within budget constraints. Perform detailed engineering calculations for civil and transportation projects. Requires 10+ years of experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and a Missouri or Iowa PE. Salary range $91,000-$129,043.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Missouri or Iowa PE required
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must have close vision
- Must have color vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must have the ability to focus
Desired Qualifications
- PTOE not required but desired
- Experience with PowerGEOPAK and/or OpenRoads Designer preferred
- MoDOT or IaDOT experience preferred
- KDOT experience acceptable
