Job Summary
Lead roadway design on assigned projects, coordinate with stakeholders and public agencies, prepare design plans, reports, and cost estimates, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Provide design expertise, mentor and develop staff, foster strong client relationships, and deliver customized transportation solutions focusing on city streets, bike/pedestrian facilities, ADA compliance, and multimodal accessibility. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary design teams to meet technical expectations and milestones.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 6 years of applicable transportation design experience
- Professional Engineer in Oregon
- MicroStation and InRoads and/or AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiency
- Experience with transportation agencies in the Portland area, including PBOT, ODOT, and TriMet
- Effective communicator with excellent writing skills
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and priorities
