Job Summary
Quality Director leads long-term quality strategy for the Transportation & Energy / Aerospace & Defense Verticals, partnering with leadership to interpret industry and customer trends and set cross-business quality guidelines. Responsibilities include directing functional quality activities (customer quality, product quality control, incoming inspection, warranty analysis), budgeting and resource allocation, coaching and developing managers and teams, solving complex quality challenges with cross-functional collaboration, and aligning with corporate programs and ISO audits. Preferred qualifications include advanced quality disciplines (Six Sigma, ISO standards), experience with ISO 9001, and strong communication with senior leadership. Travel up to 25% and on-site work at Maplewood, MN or Detroit, MI area locations are noted. Relocation assistance may be authorized and candidates must be legally authorized to work without visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Twelve (12) years of experience in quality/manufacturing in private/public/government/military settings
- Five (5) years in a quality/manufacturing leadership role
- Strong project management
- Experience with ISO 9001
- Experience communicating with senior leadership
