Job Summary
Schedule and confirm patient appointments, review patient information to determine needs, and verify details with nursing staff. Implement customer-service standards while resolving problems and completing transportation system improvements. Inform family members of appointments upon request and stay with patients to provide assistance. Post appointments daily for staff and patients at least one day prior, answering questions regarding the schedule. Enter orders for appointments and transportation, retrieving or sending diagnostic labs, and determine the best route along with required equipment. Keep equipment operating by enforcing preventive maintenance rules and arranging repairs. Provide and troubleshoot medical equipment such as oxygen, wheelchairs, gurneys, and IVs while maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop and crouch repetitively
- Must be able to push a minimum of 200lbs for a long distance
- Must be able to lift bulky heavy items up to 100lbs
- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver licence
- Must possess and maintain a clean driving record
- Must be able to speak, read and write the English language
