Job Summary
Transportation Driver responsible for transporting program participants and/or medical supplies to and from the program site and other facilities. Duties include assisting participants in safely entering/exiting vehicles, securing wheelchairs and safety belts, adhering to Safety and Infection Control standards, participating in trainings, maintaining and cleaning buses (including disinfection after contamination events), and delivering daily items (medications, supplies). Requires a valid Michigan CDL Class A or B with Passenger endorsement, CPR, high school education or equivalent, ability to lift 50 pounds, and medical clearance for communicable diseases; proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and completion of required background checks and health screenings. The role emphasizes safety, proper transfer techniques, and supporting participants, including after-death item handling and coordination with the transportation supervisor or manager.
Required Qualifications
- A valid, unrestricted Michigan CDL license - Class A or B, with Passenger endorsement
- Current CPR card required
- High school education or equivalent
- Must be capable of transporting individuals with special mobility needs
- Ability to lift and/or carry 50 pounds or more
- Must meet CMS approved competencies and be medically cleared for communicable diseases with up-to-date immunizations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Pass post-offer, pre-employment background check and health screening (drug test, TB, MMR)
