Job Summary
Transport residents to events, programs, shopping, and appointments while coordinating vehicle maintenance, including pre and post trip inspections and cleanliness. Greet and direct residents to appropriate locations, manage incoming and outgoing calls and texts, and assist with clerical duties like faxing and filing. Perform shopping and errands for residents and the facility as requested. Maintain a clean, organized work area and resolve resident complaints or report complex issues to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid State Driver's License
- Valid state CDL (Commercial Driver License)
- A minimum one (1) year experience in a courtesy driver, transportation or similar role
- Experience working with a matured population
- Must be able to lift and/or move items over 60 pounds
- Must be able to talk and hear
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
- Weekend and holiday shifts will be required
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization
- Strong computer and Microsoft Application skills
- Ability to learn new systems
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse customer and team member population
- Must have positive communication skills and demonstrated adequate maturity and patience
- Proficient in the English language
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Must be able to successfully prioritize workload, demonstrate initiative, and analyze situations to make sound decisions
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor under pressure
- Must be observant, show initiative and take action on observed needs
- Must maintain first impression perfection at all times
- Self-directing with the ability to work with minimal direct supervision
- Flexibility in responding courteously to immediate needs of internal and external customers and callers
- Ability to establish priorities and maintain productivity despite numerous interruptions
- Ability to organize, efficiently document and routinely update information
- Ability to apply procedures to work problems and situations
- Team member are required to adhere to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information
