Transportation Driver

Job Summary
Safely operate the facility van to transport residents to medical appointments, hospitals, and community outings while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety. Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, including wheelchair securement, and ensure all occupants are properly restrained. Maintain timely pick-up and drop-off schedules while communicating resident needs with nursing staff. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, keep the vehicle clean and fueled, and adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Provide courteous interaction with residents, families, and staff. Requires a valid driver's license with a clean record; experience with elderly populations and wheelchair lifts is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate wheelchair lifts and secure mobility devices (or willingness to train)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift, push, and assist residents as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Preference to STNA candidates
- Previous experience driving a passenger van, medical transport, or similar preferred
- Experience working with elderly or healthcare populations strongly preferred
