Transportation Dispatcher Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee a team of dispatchers by coordinating schedules, monitoring attendance, and managing employee management functions. Verify trip assignments, determine estimated times of arrival, and handle escalated client issues with empathy for children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. Deploy vehicles and drivers for medical appointments, troubleshoot scheduling problems, and respond to injuries, accidents, or HIPAA breaches immediately. Monitor call queue performance in real time to maintain a 95% SLA and 30-second answer time, while conducting weekly and monthly performance reviews with dispatchers. Complete annual evaluations, log disciplinary actions, and provide training on initial and recurring certification requirements. Collaborate with leadership to streamline operations, coordinate vehicle maintenance, and generate weekly reports on key performance indicators.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read small print and view a computer screen for prolonged periods
- Ability to tolerate exposure to noisy conditions
- Ability to be understood in face-to-face communications, to speak with a level of proficiency and volume to be understood over a telephone or computer
- Ability to use hands to grasp, and manipulate small objects; manipulate fingers, twist and bend at wrist and elbow; extend arms to reach outward and upward; use hands and arms to lift objects; turn, raise, and lower head
- Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry objects which weigh as much as 5 or more pounds on a frequent basis
- Ability to encounter constant work interruptions
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work indoors
- Ability to read, write, understand, interpret, and apply information at a moderately complex level essential for successful job performance
