Job Summary
Dispatcher-PM (Bilingual) is responsible for coordinating assignments and schedules of bus driver routes and vehicles to ensure safe, efficient transportation services. Includes recording absentee calls, assigning substitutes, answering telephones and 2-Way Radios to communicate with the community and department staff, maintain logs and reports, dispatch drivers and vehicles, monitor GPS/AVL, and communicate schedule changes to parents and school personnel. The role requires proficiency in typing, word processing, and office software, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task, and the ability to work under stress; bilingual preferred. Occasional bus-driving duties may be performed as needed. Successful candidates typically have a High School Diploma or GED and may hold or obtain a Texas CDL-B with appropriate endorsements; candidates may be required to pass DOT testing as applicable.”} {
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass ALL Federal DOT Drug and Alcohol Test
- Certified or certifiable as a Texas School Bus Driver (preferred)
- Hold or obtain a CDL, class B minimum with a “P” & “S” Endorsement (preferred)
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.
