Job Summary
Coordinate driver activities to resolve service issues and verify customer needs are met promptly. Assign backhauls, reassign routes, and manage trailer and tractor assignments to minimize hours of service violations and overtime. Notify managers and safety specialists immediately regarding vehicle accidents or driver injuries. Visually inspect drivers for proper uniform and PPE, verify Omnitracs usage, and distribute intercompany mail. Complete attendance reports and communicate service concerns to sales and operations. Requires DOT regulations knowledge, legible handwriting, and 2 years transportation experience. Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10:00pm schedule with $20/hr starting pay.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Working knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Working knowledge of driver's logs
- Organized and detailed
- Legible handwriting
- Ability to manage several things at once
- 2 years transportation experience
