Job Summary
Direct the Delivery department's daily operations, overseeing safety and compliance, routing and scheduling, labor hours and budgeting, and ensuring a high level of customer service. Lead delivery supervisors and routing personnel, monitor KPI performance, coordinate with Sales/Marketing to address customer issues, ensure adherence to DOT/OSHA and other regulations, manage asset utilization, and drive efficiency initiatives and cost reductions. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, 7+ years of related experience, a Class A CDL with HazMat and Doubles certifications, proficiency with reporting tools, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 7 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License meeting company standards
- Complete a Sysco approved defensive driving program
- HazMat Certification
- Doubles Certification
- Professional Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, write and speak English
- Ability to interpret and apply Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Experience with routing software and systems
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and KPI management
