Job Summary
Transportation Design Engineer – Project Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of complex roadway projects for municipal and state clients in Massachusetts. Lead multidisciplinary teams, manage scopes, budgets, schedules, and resources from concept through construction; oversee QA/QC, ensure compliance with DOT standards, and mentor junior engineers. Serve as primary client liaison with DOT agencies and project stakeholders, support business development, and deliver high-quality transportation solutions with a hybrid in-office/remote work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering
- Roadway/highway design experience required
- Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects from concept through construction
- Experience working with DOT agencies (Connecticut DOT experience strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of transportation design standards, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
