Job Summary
Transportation Data Coordinator role overseeing financial, payroll, and data reporting functions in the Transportation Department. Responsibilities include entering and maintaining data in BSIP and SVFMS (TD-18s, TD-21s, fuel usage, PM records, POs), tracking parts and inventory, generating system reports, and supporting compliance with state/district requirements. Also manages payroll data from timesheets and dispatch logs, processes payroll to ensure timely submissions, reconciling leave accruals and fuel time audits, and maintaining confidentiality of payroll/personnel information. Requires strong data-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with multiple data systems and meet deadlines. Requires a high school diploma (associate or bachelor’s preferred) and proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with BSIP/SVFMS and payroll/financial data management is preferred. The role is based in an office environment in Louisburg, NC, and reports to the Director of Transportation, with potential for extended hours during payroll cycles, reporting periods, or audits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to learn BSIP, SVFMS and other district software systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with transportation staff, district departments, vendors, and state agencies
