Job Summary
Transportation Customer Service Specialist serves as the liaison for customers, entering scheduled appointment times, arrivals, and departures; tracks ETA and on-time delivery by order; coordinates communications with Operations and Sales; monitors shipments and inventory at third-party cold storage; generates on-time delivery and dwell time reports; retrieves PODs from carriers; supports freight consolidation, load building, and routing efficiency; communicates delays and changes, and ensures high customer satisfaction through proactive problem solving and data-driven decision making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in transportation or logistics
- 3 years’ work experience or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Excellent reading, communication, and organizational skills
- PC proficiency and Microsoft Office software
- Ability to perform basic math and data entry
