Transportation Crew Leader

Transportation Crew Leader position based in Bangor, ME, leading a Bangor-based Striping Crew in pavement marking duties. Responsible for supervising and directing crew activities, training and coaching crew members, ensuring projects meet specifications and timelines, monitoring use and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and tools, inspecting materials, communicating with the Transportation Crew Supervisor, and providing backup for the Transportation Crew Supervisor when needed. Duties may include contracting work, paint equipment maintenance, and seasonal snow-fighting tasks dictated by operational needs. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Class A motor vehicle license with completion of OSHA 30-hour construction course. Ability to supervise personnel, ensure safety and environmental compliance, maintain records and timesheets, and interact with the public and utility officials. Seasonal (temporary) in summer with potential for winter responsibilities based on operations. Strong leadership, communication, and safety-focused mindset are essential, along with willingness to perform a range of transportation worker duties and participate in a comprehensive benefits package typical of state government roles.
