Job Summary

Monitor and manage assigned drivers and equipment while implementing customer plans, routes, and schedules for freight pickup and delivery. Enter all company and customer data into transportation software and update database files with carrier, vehicle, and driver information. Collaborate with carriers and load planners to communicate essential pick-up and delivery details, ensuring customer needs are met. Report accidents, injuries, and safety concerns to the Driver Supervisor and Safety Department, and ensure all required forms are completed timely. Manage driver accountability regarding DOT, CTPAT, and company policies while tracking KPIs and productivity goals. Work the B shift from 1700 to 0500 in a rotating 3-day or 4-day week schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred and/or a minimum of five to seven years in a dispatch or load planning position
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent personal computer skills and having working knowledge of a transportation software i.e. : TMW, McCloud, Peoplenet, Rand McNally, PCMiler etc.. and Microsoft Office products software i.e.; Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Knowledge of Transportation fleet models
  • Knowledge in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
