Job Summary
Execute day-to-day transportation department operations by monitoring shipments, expediting merchandise movement, and optimizing shipping plans for crossdock and store deliveries. Coordinate with internal teams and external carriers to ensure timely inbound and outbound service, manage yard staffing and truck capacity, and audit the Yard Management System for accuracy. Support peak season strategies, perform root-cause analysis on performance gaps, and provide guidance to peer coordinators while maintaining operational standards and KPIs.
Required Qualifications
- At least (1) year of related experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels of Management
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Extreme attention to detail
- Vital knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Must be comfortable with creating and maintaining spreadsheet formulas/data with Excel
- Strong Customer Service and teamwork skills
- Be on time to work
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Degree preferred, not required
