Job Summary

Conduct inspections to ensure contractors adhere to plans, specifications, standards, and quality control plans. Meet with project engineers, managers, or supervisors daily to receive instructions and assignments. Complete PSA's and work sheets daily while participating in daily huddles with field staff. Request assistance from management for material and workmanship inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements and established standards. Comply with District and project-specific overtime requirements. Work on-site in Philadelphia with a hybrid schedule, reporting to a salary range of $28.00 - $33.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications

Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or closely related field
At least one (1) year minimum experience as a Technical Assistant 2
ACI, NICET, and/or NECEPT certifications
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Ability to measure and calculate quantities
Ability to perform quality control testing on highway materials
Must be able to comply with the District and project specific overtime requirements
Must be able to meet with the Department Project Engineer/ Manager/ Supervisor or Consultant Manager/ Supervisor daily, or as required, to receive instructions and assignments
