Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •High school diploma, GED, or post secondary education
• •Can read, write, and communicate in English
• •Can do basic math computations for length, area, and volume
• •BS Civil Engineering
• •NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction
• •NECEPT Bituminous field certification
• •ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification
• •PennDOT/PTC CDS certification
• •ECMS experience
• •OSHA 10-Hour certification
• •Must be able to work in the United States to apply
• •Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, sit, and stand
• •Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• •Must wear required personal protective gear/equipment
• •Must be able to react to hazardous warnings and signals
• •Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
• •Must be able to effectively communicate with contractors, consultants, engineers, job superintendents, and others
• •Must be able to prepare daily progress reports
• •Must be able to maintain progress schedules
• •Must be able to check shop drawings and contractors' quotations for variations
• •Must be able to keep records of quantities and cost of materials used
• •Must be able to prepare contractors' periodic progress payment claims
• •Must be able to recommend payment
• •Must be able to supervise a staff of inspectors
• •Must be able to ensure compliance with the contract documents by the contractor
• •Must be able to ensure compliance with the contractor's health and safety plan
• •Must be able to check that delivered materials conform to the contract documents
• •Must be able to check contractor's layout and verify accuracy
• •Must be able to follow and convey instructions
• •Must be able to utilize computers and common office equipment
• •Must be able to travel as required
• •Must be able to provide positive attitude to establish competence and pride in the company
