Job Summary
Consult with contractors, engineers, and superintendents regarding plans, specifications, materials, and safety precautions for construction projects in Elk, Clearfield, and Centre counties. Verify contractor layouts, check shop drawings, and ensure compliance with contract documents and health and safety plans. Prepare daily progress reports, maintain schedules, and process periodic progress payment claims. Travel as required around PennDOT District 2 and react to hazardous warnings while wearing required personal protective equipment. This role supports CDR Maguire's national multi-disciplinary engineering firm in delivering transportation infrastructure. A valid driver's license and ability to read, write, and communicate in English are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to do basic math computations for length, area, and volume
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to work in the United States to apply
- Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, sit, and stand
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to wear required personal protective gear/equipment
- Must be able to react to hazardous warnings and signals
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction experience
- BS Civil Engineering
- NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction
- NECEPT Bituminous field certification
- ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification
- PennDOT/PTC CDS certification
- ECMS experience
- OSHA 10-Hour certification
