Job Summary
Ensure compliance with contract documents, health and safety plans, and delivered materials by consulting with contractors, consultants, engineers, and superintendents. Check contractor layouts for accuracy, verify shop drawings and quotations, and prepare daily progress reports and periodic payment claims. Maintain records of quantities, costs, and schedules while wearing required personal protective equipment and reacting to hazardous warnings. Travel as required around the Greater Scranton area, perform occasional manual labor, and work in adverse weather conditions. Local candidates are highly desirable; relocation or sponsorship is not available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or post secondary education
- Can read, write, and communicate in English
- Can do basic math computations for length, area, and volume
- Must be able to work in the United States to apply
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, sit, and stand
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to wear required personal protective gear/equipment
- Must be able to react to hazardous warnings and signals
- Must be able to travel as required around the Greater Scranton area
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions (infrequently)
- Must be able to perform manual labor (infrequently)
Desired Qualifications
- Local candidates
- BS Civil Engineering
- NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction
- NECEPT Bituminous field certification
- ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification
- PennDOT/PTC CDS certification
- ECMS experience
- OSHA 10-Hour certification
