Job Summary
Maintain the Transportation Department filing system and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on vehicles and equipment for NYS DOT, DMV, and State Transportation Operations Assistance. Coordinate with partners like the Volunteer Transportation Center to enhance ridership on SLC Public Transportation while managing work order systems and processing purchases through online platforms. Assist with daily driver scheduling, vehicle routing, and substitutions for absences or repairs, and act as a front-line customer service representative for route direction and rider concerns. Monitor monthly mileage reports and process confidential matters based on customer and driver feedback. Work Monday through Friday with flexibility to department needs, utilizing office technology including Microsoft, Passio, Fleetio, and GPS systems. Obtain 19-A Record Keeper Certification within six months of employment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass all background clearances
- Ability to talk or hear
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to lift, push, or pull in excess of 30 pounds
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to work safely at all times
- Ability to report potential health and safety issues to supervisors in a timely manner
- Ability to act as a driver as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with Excel
- Previous experience with Word
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of computer programs such as: Microsoft, Passio, Fleetio, GPS systems, and Excel
- Ability to perform as a professional and positive team member interacting and providing support to customers, vendors, partners, staff members and programs
- Ability to maintain filing system for Transportation Department
- Ability to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on vehicles, related equipment
- Ability to work in coordination with partners such as Volunteer Transportation Center and the Mobility Manager
- Ability to maintain work order system and order/process purchases by entering details through online systems and obtaining appropriate approvals
- Ability to process confidential matters with the leadership team based upon feedback from customer and driver complaints and concerns
- Ability to assist with daily driver scheduling and routing vehicles, substituting as needed based on absences or buses needed to repairs acting quickly when last minute issues occur
- Ability to act as front line, customer service representatives for riders for route direction and problem-solving questions/concerns
- Ability to monitor monthly mileage reports for all agency vehicles
- Ability to obtain 19-A Record Keeper Certification within 6 Months of Employment
