Job Summary
Night Shift Dispatch Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for drivers and overnight operations; coordinates trailer assignments, verifies pickup paperwork, contacts roadside assistance, reassigns tractors and equipment, maintains records of driver communications and operational issues, ensures compliance with safety standards and transportation regulations, and provides coverage for night yard driver call-outs. Requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; knowledge of TMS/dispatch software and DOT regulations; high school diploma or equivalent; shift is 8:00pm-5:00am in Atlanta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous dispatch, transportation, logistics, or fleet operations experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with transportation management systems, dispatch software, and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of trucking operations, equipment, and DOT regulations preferred
