Job Summary
Provide technical expertise from conceptual design through final construction phase services for multi-disciplinary roadway projects. Coordinate with architects, bridge, environmental, and traffic professionals to deliver multimodal facilities, drainage assessments, and green infrastructure elements. Assist project managers in developing construction documents, cost estimates, and bid packages while ensuring specifications meet scope, schedule, and quality requirements. Prepare detailed civil design plans and specifications for state agencies and municipalities in Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- 3-5 years' experience in the design and preparation of construction contract documents for roadway design projects
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate or the ability to obtain it within one year
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain a license
- Experience with developing roadway designs in accordance with Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT)
- AutoCAD
- Civil 3D
- MicroStation - ORD
- AutoTURN
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check
- This position is available in our Perrysburg, OH office and can be hybrid or remote
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in 3D roadway models, horizontal alignments, profiles, corridors, cross sections, grading, sidewalk/curb ramps, ADA design, construction phasing, quantity takeoffs, and estimates
