Transportation Assistant

Transportation Assistant handles incoming customer service calls from parents and school administrators, and aids staff in resolving issues with school transportation. Responsibilities include assisting with customer service calls and complaints, responding to routine telephone requests, maintaining internal reports and records, establishing and maintaining office files, auditing and processing invoices for daily transportation routes, auditing mileage, preparing contractor corrections for approval, coordinating with contractor billing clerks to ensure information is accurate before invoicing, communicating professionally with school officials, contractors, and company personnel, assisting routing and activity staff with ordering services, and promoting teamwork and professional standards. The role requires progressive computer skills and strong Microsoft Office knowledge, with emphasis on Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment. Must be able to pass background checks and be eligible to work in the US. The job involves light travel to contractor and school locations and is full-time, Monday–Friday.
