Job Summary
The Transportation Assistant Manager at SNIPES will report to the Director of Transportation and oversee the Inbound and Outbound Logistics team, providing leadership and setting clear expectations. Key responsibilities include monitoring employee performance, managing payroll, and overseeing financial and operational reporting metrics. This position requires analysis of service and freight expenditures and collaboration with management on quarterly business reviews and yearly freight bids. Applicants should possess strong analytical and communication skills, with a preference for candidates holding a bachelor’s degree and having over 5 years of relevant logistics experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of work experience in domestic and international logistics
- Previous Supervisor experience
- Critical thinking skills to proactively and reactively solve supply chain issues
- Ability to prioritize, complete tasks according to deadlines
- Ability to give/receive constructive feedback
- Organized and Detail Oriented
- Acts with integrity and demonstrates responsible, ethical, and honest behavior
- Adaptable and Flexible
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a distribution center environment
- Experience with courier and freight billing
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
