Job Summary
Communicate with carriers to confirm dates, deliveries, and receive invoices and BOLs. Support transportation and accounting with order discrepancies or invoice issues. Assist in maintaining accurate records in the ERP or purchasing system. Perform basic data entry and reporting related to freight activity. Follow all company safety and purchasing policies and procedures. This entry-level role involves processing freight documents and ensuring timely delivery of materials and supplies for Thatcher Chemical's manufacturing teams. On-the-job training is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years' experience in a Transportation Environment
- Bachelor's degree
- 0 years' experience
- Basic understanding of transportation/freight delivery processes
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to follow instructions and manage multiple tasks
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to operate material handling equipment safely
- Exposure to warehouse and production environments, including chemicals and noise
- Required use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, respirator as applicable)
