Job Summary
Load and unload participants from PACE vehicles while greeting visitors and monitoring the loading area flow. Adhere to transportation safety standards and program policies for safe boarding and exiting, ensuring participant safety at all times. Maintain PPE, safety equipment, and sanitation materials for all vehicles, and track breakdowns, repairs, and vendor locations. Monitor and fill out incident reports when required, and work with drivers to evacuate participants during emergencies. Learn and utilize transportation software to adjust routes as needed, and prioritize vehicle maintenance requests per driver. May perform driving responsibilities for delivering care packages or transporting vehicles for maintenance, excluding participant transport. Follow directions from the Transportation Coordinator and Director, attend staff meetings and committees, and uphold HIPAA regulations and confidentiality policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally, 15 pounds frequently, and 7 pounds constantly
- Ability to communicate verbally with an excellent comprehension of the English language
- Is medically cleared for communicable diseases and has all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact
- Valid CA driver's license preferred
- High School Graduate or completion of a GED program preferred

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
