Transportation Accounting Specialist

Job Summary
Process intercompany invoices for PTC/PT, complete monthly Blue Beacon reconciliations, and perform accurate manual data entry with supporting documentation. Upload daily Pilot reports and Comdata fuel/express check uploads into the Accounts Payable system, verifying proper General Ledger coding. Conduct weekly collections outreach to customers and vendors, investigate delayed payments, and send communications regarding outstanding Comchecks. Maintain organized filing systems, manage annual records archiving, and retrieve Proof of Delivery documentation for Accounts Receivable requests. Provide administrative support to the Transportation Accounting Manager and assist with departmental initiatives. This role operates within a fast-paced logistics environment at Pero Transport, LLC in Delray Beach, FL, requiring proficiency in Microsoft Office and Oracle Business Intelligence.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to complete multiple, complex tasks and assignments
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Ability to conduct difficult conversations with carriers
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Oracle Business Intelligence
- Regular, predictable, full attendance
- Ability to lift or carry light materials, such as binders, reports, or office supplies (typically up to 15–20 pounds)
- Vision (corrected or uncorrected) sufficient to read documents, spreadsheets, and computer screens
- Hearing and speech ability sufficient for effective communication in person, by phone, or virtually
- Ability to maintain focus and attention for extended periods in a detail-oriented environment
